Making sense of what shapes how you feel, connect and relate
My approach
Therapy tailored to you, not to a model.
I describe myself as a relational therapist because I see relationships as central to how we understand ourselves - both our relationships with others and the relationship we have with ourselves. I also pay attention to the relationship we build together in therapy and the patterns that may emerge within it. Often, the ways we relate to others begin to emerge in the therapy room, providing valuable opportunities for insight, understanding and lasting change.
My work is grounded in the belief that a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. Alongside this, I draw from a range of evidence-informed approaches, including person-centred, psychodynamic and attachment-based theories, integrating psychoeducation and practical strategies where they are likely to be helpful.
Together, we’ll explore not only the difficulties that have brought you to therapy, but also the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We may consider how earlier experiences continue to shape your relationships, emotions and sense of self today, while remaining focused on helping you move towards the life and relationships you want.
Areas I work with
Emotional Wellbeing, Relationships and Sexuality
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, attachment difficulties, people-pleasing, boundary issues, shame, self-criticism, trauma, emotional regulation, identity and life transitions.
Alongside general therapy, I have a specialist interest in supporting clients with concerns relating to sex, intimacy and relationships. This includes low desire, desire discrepancies, painful sex, erectile difficulties, orgasm difficulties, sexual confidence, intimacy concerns, compulsive sexual behaviour, problematic pornography use (often referred to as porn addiction), sexual shame, and exploring sexual identity.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Many people come simply knowing that something doesn’t feel quite right. Together, we’ll create a space to understand your experiences, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and work towards healthier relationships, with others and with yourself.
My interest in psychosexual therapy
Openly, and without shame.
Alongside my work as a psychotherapist, I am currently undertaking Master’s-level (Level 7) training in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS). Sex and intimacy are deeply personal aspects of our lives, yet many people find them difficult to talk about. My aim is to provide a compassionate, inclusive and non-judgemental space where these conversations can take place openly and without shame.
I support individuals experiencing a wide range of psychosexual concerns, including changes in desire, painful sex, sexual anxiety, erectile or orgasm difficulties, intimacy challenges, compulsive sexual behaviour, problematic pornography use, and the emotional or relational impact these experiences can have. Therapy also provides space to explore questions around sexual identity, relationship dynamics and the meaning that sex and intimacy hold in your life.
As part of my specialist training, I currently offer a limited number of structured six-session psychosexual therapy packages at a reduced fee.
Psychosexual Therapy
A little about me
Outside the therapy room.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm a parent, an avid learner and someone who is endlessly fascinated by human relationships and what helps people heal and grow. I believe that every person has a unique story, and I consider it a privilege when someone chooses to share theirs with me.
The therapeutic relationship is central to how I work. I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable speaking openly, including about experiences, thoughts or feelings that may be difficult to put into words elsewhere.
