Information collected through the contact form
When you contact me through this website, I collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The information you choose to include in your message
I use this information only to respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, arrange an initial consultation.
As your message is free text, you may choose to include information about your health, relationships, sexuality or other personal circumstances. Please only provide the information you feel is necessary for me to respond to your initial enquiry.
Lawful basis for using your information
Under UK data-protection law, I need a lawful basis for collecting and using your personal information.
I process information submitted through the contact form because it is necessary to respond to your request and, where relevant, to take steps at your request before entering into a therapeutic agreement.
Where you choose to provide sensitive information within your message, this will be treated confidentially and handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
How your information is stored and shared
Information submitted through the contact form is used for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.

The website and associated email or hosting services may process information on my behalf in order to deliver your enquiry to me. I take reasonable steps to use services with appropriate data-protection and security measures in place.
I will not normally share the information contained in your enquiry with another person or organisation unless I am legally required to do so or there is an exceptional safeguarding or safety concern.
How long I keep enquiries
If your enquiry does not lead to therapy, I will normally delete the personal information relating to your enquiry within six months of our last contact, unless there is a legitimate or legal reason for retaining it for longer.
If you become a client, relevant information may subsequently form part of your client record. How I collect, use and retain information during therapy will be explained separately as part of the therapeutic contracting process.

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
